I went out with the intentions of following the masses and capturing an image of a few, rare skyscrapers in Asia. While the hoards of tourists were turned towards the view, my eye was attracted to something much more beautiful…..

Four people on a bike, sleeping dogs next to the highway, mobile food carts, and a bull in the back of a truck…why not? These are just a few sights I have become accustomed to on the roads here. I just happened to have my camera with me and couldn’t help but to take a picture of the traffic next to me. Oh Thailand.

Oh Big Buddha. We see you everyday, and you always make us smile. We may not know exactly what you are all about, but there is an aura of calmness that surrounds you and helps us feel at ease. No matter where we are…. there you are. How do you do that? Whether we have climbed the giant hill to sit at your feet or are looking up at you against a beautiful Phuket sunset- with beauty such as yours its no wonder Thailand is “the land of smiles.”

Bustling Bangkok. We decided it was time to explore the capital city of Thailand. Making the most of our trip, we navigated ourselves through the city by taxi, tuk tuk, water taxi, and on foot. We made our way to the infamous Khao San Road, ate in Chinatown, meandered around the weekend market, and found ourselves in the middle of a crowded warehouse watching a Muay Thai fight. This weekend goes on record as one of the most fun weekends we have had thus far… Thanks Tor.

I was sitting at a beachside bar on Phi Phi island when I saw this little girl run out to play on the boats that were tied to shore. I obviously couldn’t help myself, and leapt up to snap a photo of her hamming it up in the sunshine. She gave me a peace sign, and smiled for the camera. These are the moments that I most enjoy photographing.
